This technical report is part of series that communicates the results of research conducted by the Canadian Forest Service’s Northern Forestry Centre. The main objective of the research is to support improved forest management for the economic, social, and environmental benefit of all Canadians. The Centre is responsible for fulfilling the federal role in forestry research and technology transfer in Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Nunavut, and the Northwest Territories.
