This booklet profiles the winners of the 2006 awards presented by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR). Awards include the New Investigator Award; Jean-Francois St-Denis Fellowship in Cancer Research; Douglas Kinsella Doctoral Award for Research in Bioethics; Knowledge Transfer Awards; Partnership Award; Distinguished Leadership Award; the Michael Smith Prize in Health Research; and awards from individual CIHR institutes. It includes messages from the CIHR president, the Prime Minister, and the federal Minister of Health.
