Profile of Canadian farm operators : CS93-359
This new publication presents Canada and province level data on farm operator characteristics from the 1996 Census of Agriculture questionnaire (e.g. types of work done, operation of non-agricultural businesses, farm related injuries) and selected agricultural variables (e.g. farm type, gross farm receipts) cross-classified by the number of operators per farm as well as the age and sex of farm operators. In addition: a breakdown of the total population and farm population by age, sex and residence in rural and urban areas is provided. Historical comparison tables displaying the changes that occurred between the 1991 and 1996 Censuses of Agriculture are also included
