"The Environmental Emergency Regulations, 2019 under the Canadian Environmental Protection Act, 1999 are one of the instruments used by the Government of Canada to protect Canadians and the environment. They are designed to reduce the frequency and impacts of environmental emergencies involving accidental releases of hazardous substances, such as oil and chemical spills, from facilities in Canada. Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) is responsible for administering and enforcing these Regulations"--Page [1].
